Fuziah Salleh clarified that the nationwide Jualan Rahmah programme was pre-planned and not related to the Simpang Jeram and Pulai by-elections. The Deputy Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister explained that the programme’s schedule for the entire year had already been organized beforehand. Due to the by-elections, the ministry will not be carrying out any allocation handover programmes in Pulai and Simpang Jeram. However, they will proceed with the Jualan Rahmah programme in other areas. Fuziah Salleh emphasized that it would be unfair to halt the event in Pulai and Simpang Jeram solely because of the by-elections. She also mentioned that additional programmes may be added in certain locations if there are requests from the people or their representatives. Fuziah Salleh expressed these remarks during her attendance at a Jualan Rahmah programme held at Dewan Terbuka Taman Desa Sungai Abong on August 25 (Friday).
Pakatan Harapan’s candidate for the Simpang Jeram state seat, Nazri Abdul Rahman, was also present at the event. Fuziah Salleh explained that he attended as the representative of the Simpang Jeram service center.
