KLANG: A large brawl broke out in a housing area near Jalan Tepi Sungai here due to a misunderstanding between two neighbors.

Videos of the incident have been circulating on social media and messaging apps.

One video shows a group of men exiting a black MPV and confronting the complainant and his family members.

The group then begins shouting and forcibly opens the gate of the complainant’s house, resulting in a scuffle.

On Sunday (Sept 3), the South Klang OCPD Asst Comm Cha Hoong Fong stated that the police received a report about the incident at 9.33pm.

The complainant, a 57-year-old man, claimed that when he was walking towards his home at around 6pm that day, one of his neighbors tried to get his attention in a harsh manner.

He reprimanded his neighbor in response to this, expressing his dissatisfaction.

This led to a verbal argument between the two men, and the neighbor called some friends to the scene.

Shortly after, some of the complainant’s family members also arrived in front of his house.

A group of men arrived at the scene, attacked the complainant and his family members in the house compound, and they even threw stones at them.

The police suspect that the suspects also brandished weapons during the incident.

The complainant and two of his family members sustained minor injuries.

The police arrested five men, aged between 25 and 52, on Tuesday to assist with investigations, three of whom have criminal records.

The police are urging the public not to circulate the videos of the brawl, as it could cause public anxiety.
