The Kami Tuition Centre in Taman Sri Serdang Rukun Tetangga Community (KRT) in Selangor has received positive feedback from parents and students following its recent launch.

One parent, Noraini Sharipudin, expressed her intention to enroll her youngest son, Mohd Faris Muhd Iman, who is in Form 4, at the centre in preparation for his Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination. Noraini, who works in a restaurant in Bandar Baru Bangi, mentioned that this would alleviate her financial burden as she has other children to support. She also expressed gratitude to the National Unity Ministry (KPN) for implementing this initiative, and acknowledged the opportunity to save money on tuition fees for her other children.

Similarly, Siti Nur Amirah Ahmad Kamal, a private sector employee, plans to enroll her sister, Siti Hamizah, at the centre next year. She praised the initiative, highlighting the financial difficulties faced by many individuals from the B40 group in affording tuition fees. Siti Nur Amirah emphasized the importance of tuition in preparing students for examinations, stating that underprivileged students now have access to the academic assistance they require. She further revealed that her sister, who will be taking the SPM next year, has never attended any tuition classes due to financial constraints.

The tuition centre, launched by National Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang, offers free supplementary education to underprivileged students in Taman Sri Serdang KRT. The program aims to enhance the academic performance of SPM 2024 candidates from low-income backgrounds. This collaboration between KPN, Lembaga Tabung Haji, Universiti Putra Malaysia, and the Education Ministry is part of the ministry’s commitment to social responsibility and the government’s goal of empowering the community through quality education.
