A lavish buffet was put on by a newly-opened resort in Alor Gajah to express gratitude and appreciation for the sacrifices made by the Melaka Civil Defence Force.
Anthony Paul Quin, the general manager of Parkroyal A’Famosa Melaka, explained that this was the first time the hotel had organized such an extravagant buffet since its soft opening earlier in the year and made the decision to invite APM officials as dignitaries to the event on Thursday night (Feb 22).
He mentioned that the director of the Melaka Civil Defence Force, Lt Kol (PA) Kamarulsyah Muslim, and the chairman of APM’s Associate Corporate Officers, Kol (PA) Mike Thein, were invited to the event, which was also attended by government officials from Alor Gajah and representatives from the local communities.
“The relentless efforts of APM in responding to various emergencies were recognized during the event,” he said.
“We want to express our immense gratitude to these frontliners for ensuring our safety and being available to respond to distress calls at all times.”
Quinn also mentioned that his management team is committed to continuing to engage with the local community by organizing more events.
He also highlighted that the resort offers 213 rooms and suites that are designed with a local influence.
The event was further enhanced by a performance from Jason Hoon, a self-taught magician from Melaka, who captivated the guests with his dazzling magic tricks.
