IPOH: Tapah OCPD Supt Mohd Naim Asnawi stated that no arrests have been made in the investigation of a Molotov cocktail thrown at a KK Super Mart outlet in Bidor.

He urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward and provide details to the police.

Perak police chief Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Yusof Hassan Basri mentioned that police are actively looking into the case, having obtained CCTV footage of the incident that took place at 5.35am on the same day.

In a statement posted on the state police’s Facebook page, Comm Mohd Yusri described how a dark-colored car with a red “Lalamove” sticker was seen parked by the roadside, with a man getting out of the car to throw a bottle at the shop before fleeing.

The Molotov cocktail thrown at the shop hit the five-foot walkway in front of the shop but fortunately did not ignite.

The convenience store chain faced criticism recently after its branch in Bandar Sunway, Selangor, was discovered to be selling socks with the word “Allah” printed on them.
