In a statement released on Saturday (April 6), the Malaysian Stadium Corporation announced that there will be no concerts held at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil until June 11. This decision has been made to ensure that the field remains in optimal condition for the final match of the World Cup 2026-Asian Cup 2027 second-round qualifiers against Taiwan.
Despite a concert being scheduled for May 25, the corporation clarified that it will take place on the track area, away from the field. The Harris Jayaraj concert on May 25 will not have any direct impact on the field and will be limited to the track area only.
It was also mentioned that apart from the ‘Battle of the Reds’ match between Manchester United Legends and Liverpool Legends on April 27, no other events utilizing the field will be permitted until the World Cup qualifying football match between Malaysia and Taiwan on June 11.
