KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia currently has no plans to host the Thomas Cup in 2026, as revealed in the Dewan Rakyat.

Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Adam Adli (pic) informed Parliament during question time on Thursday (March 7) that the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) is not considering organizing the tournament at the moment.

His statement came in response to a query from Chong Zhemin (PH-Kampar) regarding Malaysia’s intentions to host the Thomas Cup in 2026.

The last time Malaysia held the prestigious event was in 2010.

The upcoming edition of the Thomas Cup in 2024 is scheduled to take place in Chengdu, China.
