    Nomination Day weather outlook: Favorable forecasts for majority of regions

    According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) website, the weather in Selangor, Negri Sembilan, Kelantan and Terengganu is expected to be clear in the morning of Nomination Day on Saturday (July 29), when the six states going to the polls next month will hold their nominations.

    However, rain is forecasted in a few districts in Kedah and Penang. In Kedah, Kota Setar, Yan, Kuala Muda and Langkawi are expected to experience rain, while in Penang, the North-East and South-West Districts may be affected.

    On Nomination Day, which falls on Saturday, the Election Commission has set the submission of candidate nomination forms to take place between 9am and 10am. The state elections in Selangor, Kedah, Penang, Kelantan, Terengganu, and Negri Sembilan are scheduled to be held on August 12.

    For most districts in the six states, the weather is expected to be fair in the morning of Nomination Day. However, rain is expected in a few districts in Kedah and Penang, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).
