A 90-year-old man tragically lost his life following a car accident in Sibu on December 26. The victim crashed his car into a fast food restaurant located on Jalan Ling Kai Cheng.
Sibu OCPD, Asst Comm Zulkipli Suhaili, disclosed that the incident occurred at approximately 9:15am, right after the elderly man refueled his vehicle. He apparently lost control of the car, resulting in the collision.
“The vehicle collided with the glass door of a fast food establishment situated next to the petrol station,” he revealed.
Good Samaritans at the scene swiftly transported the victim to the hospital in hopes of saving his life.
“Despite their efforts, the man succumbed to his injuries at 10:16am,” ACP Zulkipli confirmed.
