SEREMBAN: The express bus service between Seremban and Kuala Lumpur will be improved with the addition of two more operators, bringing the total number of operators to three. This move aims to address complaints from commuters about long waiting times due to the lack of options. J Arul Kumar, the state local government development, housing, and transport committee chairman, announced that with the inclusion of the new operators, buses will now be available every 15 minutes during peak hours. The Land Public Transport Agency (Apad) has appointed Wawasan Sutera Travel and Tour Sdn Bhd and Ifwat Trans Travel and Tour Sdn Bhd to join the existing operator, Saptavarna Sdn Bhd, in servicing the route. The three operators will provide a total of 15 buses for the Seremban-Kuala Lumpur route.

According to Arul, the bus service will operate every 15 minutes from 5am to 7.30am for the Seremban-Kuala Lumpur route, and from 4.30pm to 8.30pm for the return journey. During off-peak hours, buses will be available every 30 minutes. Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, around 2,000 people used the service daily, but the number has since dropped to only 650. Arul expressed optimism that the improved service will attract more commuters to travel on the express buses.

In addition to the operational improvements, Arul also announced the introduction of the Centralised Ticketing System for express bus tickets. Commuters can now purchase their tickets online for any destination from the Terminal 1 station in Seremban starting from September 1. This system aims to provide more convenience and reduce waiting time. Commuters can access the online ticketing platform at https://ddec1-0-en-ctp.trendmicro.com:443/wis/clicktime/v1/query?url=www.terminal1.my&umid=a0be2214-2545-43dd-b1dd-1d28f8dac74d&auth=4e0d3f135bd52a3661045cb3bfe08c528fcdd524-2204a12fc08180b76ba53a8dd3e1969b786e49ca. However, ticket purchases for travel between Seremban and Kuala Lumpur will still need to be made manually at the station.
