HULU SELANGOR: The oil palm plantation in Kampung Sri Keledang, Hulu Bernam, is believed to be the prime crime scene for the murder of Nur Farah Kartini Abdullah.

Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the 26-year-old victim and the suspect knew each other, but police are still investigating the extent of their relationship.

“We believe the incident occurred at Kampung Sri Keledang and was committed by one suspect.

“We are also investigating the extent of the relationship, including the motive (of the murder),” he told reporters at the location on Wednesday (July 17).

Comm Hussein said a team of police divers found a mobile phone in a drain, believed to have belonged to the victim.

“The police team will also perform a search at another location somewhere 20 minutes away,” he said.

It was reported that the victim’s body was found at a palm oil plantation in Kampung Sri Keledang, Hulu Selangor, on July 15.

Nur Farah Kartini was reported missing in Tanjung Malim, Perak, on July 11.

She was reported missing after sending a rental car to a customer at Taman Universiti, Tanjung Malim.

A policeman, believed to be her boyfriend, has since been detained and remanded for seven days.

The case is classified under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
