Authorities in Bagan Serai reported a fatal accident involving a lorry and a van on Saturday (Dec 9), resulting in one person being burned to death.
According to Bagan Serai Perak Fire and Rescue Department station chief Ahmad Noor Syamsi Zainoldin, the incident occurred at KM198.4 along the North-South Expressway, with two others suffering injuries and being transported to a hospital for treatment.
“The accident took place at 8.24am, on the north bound lane of the expressway, and as a result, the van caught fire,” he explained.
Zainoldin additionally mentioned that the victims’ identities have not yet been determined. Investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing, and more details have yet to be disclosed.
