Only one intact body was recovered from the site where the plane crashed at the Elmina township in Shah Alam, according to Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain.
The body belonged to the motorcyclist involved in the crash, while the driver of the car, who was an e-hailing driver, has not yet been contacted by his next-of-kin. Attempts to reach his family members have been unsuccessful so far.
Efforts are currently focused on recovering the remains of the victims and clearing the crash site, with authorities working tirelessly to achieve these objectives. The crash site along Persiaran Elmina will remain cordoned off until further notice, to ensure the safety and security of the area.
The post-mortem for the recovered body will be conducted at the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang. Additionally, a DNA collection center for the victims’ families will be set up at the South Klang police headquarters.
Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan mentioned that the cockpit voice recorder has already been found. It has been handed over to the Air Accident Investigation Bureau, which will send it to a laboratory for analysis. As of now, the flight data recorder is still being sought.
In terms of the discovered remains, police have encountered 10 incomplete bodies and five body parts.
