Around 100 children from Pusat Jagaan Penyayang Nur Iman, Setapak, Pusat Kebajikan Amal Rukaiyah, Kajang, and Pertubuhan Anak Yatim Darul Aminan, Seremban, were taken on a special outing in Kuala Lumpur. Accompanied by 20 volunteers from AIA Public Takaful Bhd, the children, aged seven to 17, enjoyed a guided tour of Aquaria, KLCC, where they learned about various marine and land-based animals. Afterward, they were treated to a movie screening and lunch at Menara AIA.
This outing was part of AIA Public Takaful’s “Kongsi Rezeki” program, a community initiative launched in collaboration with the Malaysian Relief Agency. Elmie Aman Najas, CEO of AIA Public Takaful, stated that the program’s main focus is the well-being and development of underprivileged children, specifically their physical and mental health. Najas expressed joy in seeing the children enjoying themselves and actively participating in the activities organized by the dedicated volunteers.
Najas emphasized the importance of experiential learning trips, as they provide meaningful childhood experiences for the children. AIA Public Takaful is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the mental well-being and social skills development of the children, while also fostering an appreciation for nature and the environment. The three orphanages mentioned are among the program’s ten beneficiaries.
In addition to the outing, the orphanages have also received support in the form of new laptops, essential living items like bed frames and mattresses, and other daily supplies worth RM420,000.
