Ayer Hitem MP Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong had about 3,000 people attend his Chinese New Year open house celebration.
In a Facebook post on Friday (Feb 17), he expressed his joy at seeing a diverse crowd coming together for the event and emphasized the importance of giving back to the community, especially to those in need.
Wee Ka Siong, who is also the MCA president, highlighted the significance of unity and multiculturalism in making Malaysians unique and called for these qualities to be cherished and protected.
Notably, Semarang assemblyman and Johor deputy speaker Datuk Samsol Bari Jamali, Parit Yaani assemblyman Datuk Najib Samsuri and Bekok assemblyman Tan Chong were also present at the event.
