PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Mohd Uzir Mahidin has announced that the new Central Database Hub (Padu) has exceeded 500,000 registrations as of Friday (Jan 5) noon.
The chief statistician of the Statistics Department Malaysia (DOSM) said that by Friday noon, Padu had gathered 612,807 new registrations, with Selangor having the highest number of registrations.
Mohd Uzir expressed his satisfaction at the response, considering that the central database was only launched three days ago, on Jan 2, with daily targets of 200,000 new registrations.
“We have exceeded our target of 200,000 per day, with more than 600,000 new registrations in only three days,” he said.
“The numbers reveal that 359,746 males and 253,061 females have registered, with Selangor recording 148,547 registrations.”
“Johor recorded 66,036, Perak (55,865), Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur (44,359) and Sabah recorded 41,482 new registrations.”
“Due to its small population, Perlis reported the lowest number of registrations among the states,” added Mohd Uzir.
