According to Datuk Seri Mohd Uzir Mahidin, those who fail to register on the Central Database Hub (Padu) system will still have their basic information automatically included in the system. The chief statistician highlighted that data stored in Padu would streamline the Statistics Department’s analysis and census activities, as well as aid in the distribution of government assistance.
Furthermore, this database would enable the government to develop policies that cater to the needs of the populace.
Mohd Uzir emphasized that dynamic data is necessary for the department to conduct thorough analysis, and for individuals who do not register with Padu, their existing basic information will be utilized.
“We have assured the public that this system is secure, and the information stored in Padu is also well-protected,” he assured.
These statements were made during a press conference held after Padu’s registration programme with the chief statistician at Flat Seri Aman, Section 22, on Sunday (March 31), as reported by Bernama.
Since its launch on January 2, the Padu system has operated smoothly without any interruptions or downtime, even amidst high traffic volume. Mohd Uzir highlighted this as a testament to the system’s robust development, ensuring that registration and information updates can be seamlessly carried out.
“We have reconfirmed that the system is user-friendly and that the data stored within Padu is secure,” he reiterated.
The deadline for registering on the Padu system is set for midnight on Sunday.
