PETALING JAYA: Both Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional are currently awaiting more information from their lawyers before deciding whether to file petitions to nullify the results of four state seats that were won by Perikatan Nasional in the recent state election.
The Selangor Mentri Besar, Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, has stated that both Pakatan and BN will be holding off on making any decisions until they have received the necessary information.
Earlier reports had indicated that both Pakatan and BN were contemplating filing election petitions for the Sungai Kandis, Taman Medan, Gombak Setia, and Dengkil state seats, where they narrowly lost to Perikatan.
Pakatan-BN experienced defeats by 407 votes in Dengkil, 167 votes in Sungai Kandis, 58 votes in Gombak Setia, and 30 votes in Taman Medan. – Bernama
