Segambut MP Hannah Yeoh emphasizes the need for younger voices to be heard alongside senior citizens in order to provide balanced views on community issues. She points out that residents associations are mostly made up of senior citizens, and it is important to have input from young people on matters such as parks and suitable developments in their areas. Yeoh made these remarks during a National Day event in her constituency, where 3,000 Malaysian flags were distributed by a 30-vehicle convoy at 10 different locations.

Yeoh, who is also the Youth and Sports Minister, believes that the next generation should be actively involved in promoting unity and participating in events such as flag distributions. The event was organized by all six subzones of the Segambut Residents Representative Council (MPP). The convoy covered more than 40km within the parliamentary constituency, with members starting their day early in the morning by decorating their vehicles with flags before setting off at 7am.

The convoy, accompanied by vehicles from the Information Department and a police escort, made a total of 10 stops, including Taman Tasik Menjalara in Kepong, morning markets, and commercial areas. The event concluded at Taman Persekutuan Bukit Kiara in Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Kuala Lumpur.
