Penang Port Sdn Bhd (PPSB), the provider of the Penang Ferry service, is introducing a 30% discount on fares for motorcyclists through a discounted season pass starting from Tuesday (Sept 12).
In a joint effort involving the Penang Port Commission (PPC), the Transport Ministry, and MMC Corporation Bhd (MMC), this special initiative aims to enhance the convenience and affordability for ferry passengers, according to a statement released by the companies.
The discounted season pass for motorcyclists will be available until June 30 next year, and customers can enjoy a reduced price of RM105 instead of the original RM150 for 60 trips, resulting in a per trip cost of RM1.75 instead of RM2.50.
Motorcyclists can conveniently purchase the discounted season pass using their MyKad.
Furthermore, the operating hours of the ferry service have been extended to include an additional trip at 11pm every day from Pangkalan Sultan Abdul Halim (PSAH) in Butterworth.
This adjustment has been made to synchronize the ferry service schedule with the KTMB ETS train schedule, ensuring a smooth and convenient travel experience for all passengers.
