IPOH: Perak PKR has expressed its support for Kuala Kangsar MP Datuk Iskandar Dzulkarnain Abdul Khalid’s endorsement of the Prime Minister’s leadership.
Mohamad Hairul Amir Sabri, the deputy chairman of Perak PKR, commented that this support demonstrates Iskandar Dzulkarnain’s goodwill and the notion that serving the people effectively surpasses political or ideological differences.
He further stated that this act should serve as a role model for all opposition leaders, emphasizing the need to prioritize the people as promised during GE15.

“In a broader context, the time has come for each representative, especially from the opposition, to cease engaging in disruptive theatrics that add no value and undermine the stability of the country,” he stated.
“Conversely, we should demonstrate unwavering support and commitment towards the unity government’s endeavors to tackle unemployment, facilitate economic growth, and address all issues faced by the people,” he added in a statement on Friday (Oct 13).
Mohamad Hairul also expressed optimism that this development bodes well for the practice of sensible and mature politics in the nation.
“Perak PKR also believes that Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s leadership should persist in ensuring the fulfillment of all the promised initiatives for the benefit of the people and the country,” he mentioned.
“We believe that the mandate given to the Madani government should be optimally utilized to transform Malaysia into a sustainable, prosperous, and innovative country founded on mutual respect and trust,” he concluded.
Last Thursday (Oct 12), Iskandar Dzulkarnain proclaimed his backing for Anwar, attributing his decision to alleviate the financial burdens faced by his constituents due to the escalating cost of living.
The Bersatu representative stated that his intention was to assess whether Anwar would honor his commitment regarding allocations for lawmakers.
He also clarified that despite his support for Anwar, he remains loyal to his party.
