PETALING JAYA: Perikatan Nasional leaders have been engaging in verbal attacks against their political rivals in the government. However, Fahmi Fadzil believes that there should be a limit, especially when it comes to insulting the royalty.
Fahmi, the Communications and Digital Minister, stated that it should be the responsibility of the authorities to take action against Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor for allegedly undermining the authority of Selangor Ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah to appoint the mentri besar.
Fahmi further criticized Muhammad Sanusi and other leaders from Perikatan for their behavior.
“It seems that engaging in a rational discussion with these Perikatan leaders is impossible. They seem incapable of anything other than insults and curses,” Fahmi added.
He also reprimanded the Perikatan leaders for constantly opposing the government’s efforts to govern the country and administer necessary measures.
“This is precisely why we must fight against ‘Pertikaian’ (dispute) Nasional,” Fahmi emphasized, making an apparent reference to Perikatan.
A video of Muhammad Sanusi belittling the appointment of Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari has circulated on social media.
On Thursday, Shah Alam PKR filed a police report against Muhammad Sanusi in response to his actions.
