Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim stated that the government is prepared to enhance the management of Islamic affairs in Malaysia to ensure inclusivity and benefits for both Muslims and non-Muslims. He expressed his gratitude to Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, the Sultan of Selangor, for leading the 70th Meeting of the National Council for Islamic Religious Affairs (MKI) in Shah Alam. Anwar, who serves as the council’s deputy chairman, emphasized that the MKI meeting highlighted the Sultan’s concerns regarding Islamic affairs management. He further stated that the government is committed to ensuring proper implementation of Islamic affairs governance. Anwar expressed confidence that with the approval and support of the royal highnesses, efforts to strengthen Islamic affairs management institutions at the federal and state levels can be effectively executed.
