PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called on opposition Members of Parliament to renew talks with Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof regarding their requests for funds for their respective constituencies. This comes after opposition lawmakers announced on Friday (Nov 3) that they would halt negotiations or requests for funds for their areas with Fadillah. “Discuss with DPM Fadillah,” he told reporters after officiating the National Family Month Celebration (BKK) 2023 at Dataran Putrajaya today.

When asked about allegations that there were conditions that opposition MPs needed to meet in order to request funds for their areas, Anwar stated that there were none. Yesterday, Perikatan Nasional Chief Whip Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan revealed that he had met with Fadillah twice to discuss the relevant allocations before announcing the decision to suspend negotiations on the matter. – Bernama
