KUALA LUMPUR: The Prime Minister’s political secretary Ahmad Farhan Fauzi paid a visit to the families of two victims who died in the plane crash in Bandar Elmina, Shah Alam on August 17.
In a post on Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s Facebook page, it was mentioned that Ahmad Farhan had the opportunity to meet with the parents of motorcycle-hailing rider, Muhamad Hafiz Muhamad Saleh in Taman Sidam Kiri, Kedah on Monday (August 29).
During the visit, the deceased’s father, Muhamad Saleh Othman (pic), 57, shared that his son was supposed to return home for his sister’s wedding celebration and his death has brought immense sorrow to the family.
Anwar stated that Ahmad Farhan also visited the widow of Shaharul Amir Omar, Suhaila Akasha, 46, in Lumut, Perak on Monday.
“We pray that the affected families find great strength and patience as they go through this difficult period.
“I am certain that they have been deeply affected by this tragic incident.
“May the Almighty grant the crash victims the highest place in paradise and forgive all their sins, InsyaAllah,” said Anwar.
On August 17, a total of 10 individuals lost their lives in the crash, including Pahang Local Government, Housing, Environment and Green Technology Committee chairman Datuk Seri Johari Harun.
Eight of the victims were passengers and crew members of the light aircraft, while the remaining two were a motorcycle-hailing rider and an e-hailing driver who happened to be passing by the crash site. – Bernama
