Perikatan Nasional has denied rumors of a conflict between the caretaker Kelantan mentri besar and his deputy. Kelantan Perikatan secretary, Wan Roslan Wan Hamat, refuted claims that Datuk Ahmad Yaakob and Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah were at odds over the potential successor for the mentri besar position if Perikatan wins the upcoming state election. During a press conference at Perikatan’s media center in Kota Baru, Wan Roslan stated, “This is completely false. Instead of attacking people’s personal lives, we prefer to explain to voters about the programs in our manifesto.” He also expressed confidence in the educated population of Kelantan, saying, “Kelantan people have a high degree of education and they can tell fact from fiction.”
Furthermore, Wan Roslan criticized the opposition parties, stating that they were not serious about winning the Kelantan election. He noted that Umno, Pakatan Harapan, and DAP were not contesting because their state leaders were not participating. In contrast, Perikatan’s chairman and deputy chairman are both contesting, highlighting their determination to defend Kelantan.
Kelantan Perikatan’s manifesto, titled “Kelantan Maju Rakyat Sejahtera,” includes 18 plans and 96 programs.
