SEREMBAN: Perikatan Nasional plans to empower mothers and youths if it wins Negri Sembilan, says the coalition in its manifesto in the upcoming state polls.
At the online launch of the coalition’s manifesto for Negri Sembilan Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia deputy president Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu said that the manifesto is focused on several main tenets, one being business training for women and youth.
“Perikatan will introduce an RM1mill incubator grant for female entrepreneurs while also bringing a ‘inisiatif ibu prihatin Nismilan’ which comes with a 10% subsidy (with a maximum cost of RM300) for costs for giving birth,” said Ahmad Faizal.
“We will also foster partnerships with state government agencies and the private sector to add more child care facilities to help working families,” he added.
Initiatives to help women that had just lost their husbands or have just separated will also be provided in the form of aid and counselling.
On aiding the youths in the state, the coalition plans to create the “Nismilan Mudo ” and “Tani Mudo ” funds, with allocations as high as RM2mill yearly.
It also plans to build the e-sports scene in each district, with an allocation of RM1mil a year.
On cost of living issues, the “Bantuan Bakul Prihatin” will be expanded. Allowances for “community leaders” including imams and bilals will also see increases in stages.
“We will also optimise the use of tanah adat terbiar (abandoned customary land) to be used for several farming activities to help generate additional income.
An additional RM5mill will be allocated for a “TaNismilan” scheme while RM15mill will be invested to improve road safety and expand free Wifi coverage for the state.
