Four men have been arrested by the Kelantan police in connection with the shooting of a 38-year-old workshop owner in Machang. The incident occurred on Sunday, September 17 on Jalan Hutan Kuin. Kelantan Police Chief Datuk Muhamad Zaki Harun stated that the men, aged between 25 and 36, were apprehended at different locations within the state. During the arrests, the police also seized two pistols. The suspects are currently in custody and will be investigated under the Arms Act 1960 and Section 302 of the Penal Code.
In addition to the arrests, the police have taken statements from 25 individuals, including acquaintances, family members, and witnesses, to aid in the investigation. The victim, who had a criminal record involving drugs, firearms, and criminal intimidation, was shot at close range seven times in the chest and head, according to the autopsy.
