A police officer from Bukit Aman has arrived at the headquarters of Parti Islam Se-Malaysia (PAS) in Kuala Lumpur to take the statement of Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang, the party’s president.
The meeting was originally scheduled for 9.30am but was postponed to 11.30am. The police officers arrived around 11.15am.
The investigation, confirmed by the police, is in relation to a speech made by Abdul Hadi at the Ceramah Perdana Perikatan Nasional event in Bakri, Muar on August 26. In his speech, he allegedly questioned the authority of the Pardons Board.

Mohd Syahir Che Sulaiman, the Bachok Member of Parliament and Abdul Hadi’s political secretary, mentioned that a press conference would be held after the recording of the statement.
The police are also investigating the case under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act for the alleged misuse of network facilities.
