SHAH ALAM: Police in Shah Alam have taken statements from 19 individuals in relation to the death of Dea Maisarah Bada at Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital (HTAR) Klang. The statements were obtained from doctors at the hospital, the girl’s parents, neighbors, representatives from the victim’s school, and police personnel who were on duty at the HTAR police beat base during the incident. The police are currently in the process of acquiring CCTV footage from the area of the incident for further investigation. They are also awaiting a full forensic report on the child’s death. Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan stated that the investigation papers on the case will be completed soon. When asked about any potential negligence, Hussein explained that the matter is still under investigation and no comments can be made at this time. An internal investigation is being conducted regarding the alleged negligence that led to the death of the 10-year-old girl in the Klang public hospital. Health Minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa stated that whenever a complaint is filed, an internal investigation is required. Dea Maisarah Bada allegedly died while receiving treatment at the government hospital. The case has gained attention on social media, with accusations that the hospital provided false information by stating that she was brought in dead. Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein confirmed that two reports were made regarding the death and an investigation is underway under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001.
