KUALA LUMPUR: The police investigation into Jasmine Loo Ai Swan, the former lawyer of 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), has concluded. Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay stated that the investigation papers have been forwarded to the Attorney-General’s Chambers for further proceedings.

“The case is being investigated under Section 409 of the Penal Code, which pertains to the criminal breach of trust by a public servant,” he added.
Police confiscated assets valued at RM93.2 million on September 4. These assets were linked to embezzlement activities related to 1MDB and registered under the name of the investment firm’s legal advisor. The seized assets include luxurious condominiums, bank accounts, valuable paintings, high-end designer handbags, and watches. – Bernama
