Police report lodged against Jengka rep over 3R issue

Police have received a report against Jengka assemblyman Shahril Azman Abd Halim for allegedly inciting racial, religious, and royal sentiments on social media. The report was lodged by Ahmed Wafiuddin Shamsuri, the special officer of Bentong MP Young Syefura Othman, at the Manchis police station on September 13. It is claimed that Shahril Azman made remarks about bumiputra rights.

Ahmed Wafiuddin also stated that Shahril Azman’s TikTok video showed him campaigning for PAS in Felda Sungai Kemahal, which is located in the Pelangai state constituency, before the upcoming by-election on nomination day. Pelangai assemblyman Datuk Seri Johari Harun passed away in a plane crash on August 17, resulting in the vacant seat. The Election Commission has scheduled the polling day for October 7, nomination day for September 23, and early voting for October 3. – Bernama
