The police have submitted the necessary documents needed for an Interpol Red Notice application against two individuals including Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s son-in-law Datuk Seri Muhammad Adlan Berhan.
Speaking to Sinar Harian, Bukit Aman CID director Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain said that the police received the documents from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on Tuesday (Oct 3).
“The police received the documents at 3pm today. It was forwarded to the Interpol for further action,” he was quoted as saying.
On Sept 30, MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki said they would provide additional documents to the police for a red notice to be issued by Interpol on two individuals.
He said Interpol had requested or Malaysia to furnish several documents, including the draft charges, for the Red Notice.
Azam in August said Muhammad Adlan, 48, and his lawyer Mansoor Saat, 69, needed to be present at MACC to help in the investigation of corruption and malpractice regarding the registration of a project, recruiting and biometric storage of foreign workers.
However, Immigration records showed both the individuals left Malaysia on May 17 and 21, respectively, and there are no records of them returning.
