The Royal Malaysia Police (Bukit Aman) will be conducting an interview with Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on Monday, September 11th, as part of an investigation into a recent ceramah, or public talk, delivered by the former Prime Minister. Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Datuk Seri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay, confirmed that the Bukit Aman CID’s Special Investigation Unit has already made contact with the Perikatan Nasional chairman. The interview is scheduled for 10am at the Mida office in KL Sentral.
Ayob Khan stated that two police reports have been filed regarding this issue. Earlier, Muhyiddin allegedly stated that it is “haram,” or sinful, to vote for Suhaizan Kaiat, the candidate from the Pakatan Harapan party, for the Pulai parliamentary seat.
In a separate case, Ayob Khan revealed that an investigation paper (IP) has been initiated concerning race, religion, and royalty (3R) during the campaign period for the Pulai and Simpang Jeram by-elections. The IP is related to a ceramah delivered by PAS President Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang in Bakri, Muar, last month, regarding the Pardons Board.
