MELAKA: Iranian businesswoman Datin Mary Rasouli has emphasized the importance of preserving Malaysia’s unique racial unity. After living in the country for almost 20 years, Rasouli expressed her admiration for the strong bonds between Malaysians. She urged the public to avoid allowing external issues to disrupt racial harmony, warning that chaos would ensue if unity is lost. Rasouli made these remarks during her visit to Jalan Bendahara on Monday night (Nov 6) where she purchased clothing and delicacies for a corporate social responsibility (CSR) program planned for the upcoming Deepavali celebration.

Rasouli further explained that her decision to organize the CSR program during Deepavali was motivated by the harmonious landscape of Malaysia. Being married to a local, she has come to recognize the priceless value of racial unity in the country. Rasouli also witnessed the solidarity among Malaysians, regardless of their race, religion, and background, as they helped and worked closely with one another.

She cautioned Malaysians to be vigilant against those with ill intentions of stirring up racial discord, recognizing their love for this peaceful and harmonious country. Rasouli’s main objective in organizing the CSR program is to spread love, care, and a spirit of togetherness. On Monday, they held a health camp at Ayer Keroh and decided to extend their outreach to the community as well as share the joy of the Festival of Lights with the less fortunate. Rasouli also aims to instill in her team the importance of assisting those in need and nurturing the spirit of harmonious living among all Malaysians, while conveying messages of joy, peace, happiness, and togetherness.
