Malaysia needs a new approach to develop and progress after 66 years of independence, according to Umno vice president Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin. As the Higher Education Minister and Johor Umno chairman, he believes that the unity government has the suitable formula to achieve this. Mohamed Khaled emphasizes that the country cannot reach its maximum potential by solely focusing on one race. Malaysia is a multiracial nation, and it is the responsibility of its citizens to strengthen and maintain unity and consensus among races.
In a Facebook post on Friday (Sept 1), Mohamed Khaled stated that the present government has succeeded in creating a Madani economic framework through dedication and determination. He also highlights the need to provide a clearer and deeper explanation of the unity government’s policies and direction to Umno members and voters. Mohamed Khaled believes that managing perceptions well against the false narrative created by the Opposition is crucial. He expresses hope that with clear understanding, Suhaizan Kayat, the candidate from Umno, will be elected as Pulai MP on September 9.
