    KUALA LUMPUR: Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia presented Hari Raya Aidiladha donations to 250 recipients comprising the poor and hardcore poor in Johor Baru.

    The contributions include personal gifts from His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, as well as essential items from the Johor Islamic Religious Council (MAINJ).

    According a post on His Majesty’s official Facebook page, the presentation ceremony took place at Dewan Kenanga, Johor Bahru City Council (MBJB) on Saturday (June 15) and was co-organised by the Association of Wives of Civil Servants and Women Civil Servants (Puspanita) and MAINJ.

    Present to accompany Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah was Che’ Puan Mahkota Khaleeda Johor.

    Also in attendance were Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, state secretary Tan Sri Datuk Dr. Azmi Rohani and Johor Bahru district officer, Muzaldin Mohamed, along with their spouses.

    In his speech, Muzaldin expressed gratitude for the donation from His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, adding that the gesture shows the close relationship between the palace and the people.

    “On behalf of the recipients, I extend our deepest gratitude to His Majesty. May His Majesty’s compassion for those in need serve as an inspiration to all,” he said.- Bernama
