GEORGE TOWN: In light of the Covid-19 pandemic and its impact on the economy, Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli (pic) has highlighted new factors that now influence the economy.
Rafizi pointed out that there are now considerations that were not present in 2020 and 2021, such as the growth of China and the war in Ukraine, which have had global implications, including in Malaysia. These factors are particularly important for Penang, given its significant foreign investments.
Speaking at the half-term engagement session of the 12th Malaysia Plan at Olive Tree Hotel in Bayan Lepas on Saturday (July 22), Rafizi participated in a dialogue session with state representatives, industry players, non-governmental organisations, and higher educational institutions. The aim of the session was to gather opinions on how to enhance the plan in the future.
