Ranau police in Kota Kinabalu are currently investigating a video clip that depicts a group of secondary school students bullying their fellow classmates. The video, which lasted for five minutes and was widely shared on social media, has caught the attention of the authorities. Ranau OCPD Deputy Supt Simiun Lomudin confirmed that the police received a report on the video on September 1, at 3.30pm.
DSP Simiun announced that the video displays incidents of bullying involving secondary school students in the Ranau district. The authorities are currently investigating the matter to gather all necessary information. He also urged social media users not to speculate or make derogatory comments regarding the video. In addition, he appealed to the public to come forward with any information related to the incident by contacting the district police Criminal Investigation Department.
The video footage reveals a group of boys surrounding at least four other boys, engaged in slapping and punching them. Moreover, one of the boys is kicked and subsequently falls to the ground. The exact cause or timeframe of the incident could not be determined at this time.
