    Rela personnel dies after collapsing during National Day parade in Seremban

    A People’s Volunteer Corps (Rela) personnel passed away after collapsing during the march-past at the Negri Sembilan state-level 66th National Day celebrations in Dataran Majlis Bandaraya Seremban. The incident occurred in Seremban and was reported by Seremban district police chief ACP Arifai Tarawe.

    According to a preliminary investigation, the 53-year-old man collapsed and lost consciousness around 10am. He was then rushed to the Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. A post-mortem conducted revealed that the cause of death was a heart problem known as coronary artery occlusion. The incident has been classified as sudden death.

    Authorities are urging anyone with information or who witnessed the incident to come forward and assist in the investigation. They can contact investigating officer Insp Adi Khusaini Saripudin at 012-770 7282 or the Seremban District Police Headquarters at 06-603 3222. The case is being addressed by Bernama.
