A People’s Volunteer Corps (Rela) personnel passed away after collapsing during the march-past at the Negri Sembilan state-level 66th National Day celebrations in Dataran Majlis Bandaraya Seremban. The incident occurred in Seremban and was reported by Seremban district police chief ACP Arifai Tarawe.
According to a preliminary investigation, the 53-year-old man collapsed and lost consciousness around 10am. He was then rushed to the Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. A post-mortem conducted revealed that the cause of death was a heart problem known as coronary artery occlusion. The incident has been classified as sudden death.
Authorities are urging anyone with information or who witnessed the incident to come forward and assist in the investigation.
