Photographer Acacia Diana’s eight-year ordeal of being stalked is finally reaching a resolution as the alleged stalker faces charges under the new Section 507A of the Penal Code. The man’s relentless harassment included setting up multiple social media accounts and even following Acacia to Britain during her studies, leading to his arrest in London, although he managed to escape.

Acacia’s life has been significantly impacted, with a constant sense of fear and unease. She plans to seek an interim protection order to ensure her safety and the safety of her loved ones. Despite being out of the country, Acacia still experiences anxiety due to the trauma she endured. She acknowledges that the legal process might be lengthy but is mentally preparing herself for the journey ahead.

In her words, Acacia expressed the support she received from strangers, which has given her the strength to stay resilient. She recounted the desperate situation she faced, leading her to share her story online as a cry for help during her lowest moments.

The stalking saga began in 2016 when Acacia started receiving unsettling comments on her travel blog. The situation escalated when the stalker approached her in person and began relentless harassment. He visited her home in Malaysia and even followed her abroad, enrolling in a class she was taking.

The man’s disturbing messages ranged from professions of love to lewd and explicit content, causing Acacia immense distress. Despite her attempts to escape his reach, the stalker persisted, making her feel constantly watched and targeted.

Acacia expressed a mixture of relief and hope for the future as her stalker faces legal consequences. She aims to prevent others from enduring similar suffering. Sharing her story has connected her with other victims of harassment, prompting them to reach out and share their experiences.

Looking ahead, Acacia plans to return to Malaysia, hoping that the legal action against her stalker will serve as a deterrent to potential harassers. Her posts served as a form of protection and insurance in case of any further confrontations. Despite her fears, she strives to maintain patience and calmness, hopeful that justice will finally prevail.
