KUALA LUMPUR: The Finance Ministry has announced that a RM100 e-cash credit will be provided to all citizens aged 21 years and above within the B40 and M40 groups. The implementation of this aid is set to begin in the fourth quarter of this year.
In a statement on Facebook today (Aug 1), the Finance Ministry stated that they are currently conducting a study on the matter alongside relevant stakeholders. The initiative is expected to benefit over 10 million recipients.
During the launch of the Madani Economy initiative on July 27, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced this aid for citizens earning RM100,000 and below. An allocation of RM1 billion has been set aside for this purpose. – Bernama
