KUALA LUMPUR: Yayasan Seri Negara (YSN) and the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Council (MAIWP) have distributed RM150,000 worth of donations in food and medical equipment to the underprivileged individuals within the police force.
YSN patron Tan Sri Mazlan Lazim announced that a total of 1,050 food baskets have been distributed across all police stations in Kuala Lumpur.
“Included in these donations are 21 beds, 12 wheelchairs, and 30 canes, which will aid those in need, including disabled individuals within the KL police force as well as retired police personnel suffering from chronic illness,” said Mazlan during the event held at KL police headquarters on Wednesday (Sept 20).
Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay and KL police chief Comm Datuk Allaudeen Abdul Majid were present at the event.
Mazlan, a former Deputy IGP, expressed gratitude for the collaboration between YSN, MAIWP, and KL police in their collective effort to assist those in need and alleviate their burdens.
“Since 2022, the foundation has organized 30 similar programs benefiting a total of 2,995 recipients, with donations worth RM495,000,” Mazlan shared.
“Out of these programs, 24 specifically targeted the police force, with a total of RM376,000 in donations distributed nationwide,” he added.
