    JOHOR BARU: A drug processing laboratory in Iskandar Puteri here has been uncovered by the police, with the value of seized drugs, equipment and vehicles amounting to RM2.45mil.

    State police chief Comm Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat said four men had also been arrested for being involved in the drug laboratory, which had been operating since April.

    He said two raids were conducted between 7.30am on July 25 and 12am on July 26 where 4.63kg of ketamine and 166 litres of ketamine liquid were found.

    “The drugs found were worth RM2.13mil and could satisfy about 853,155 drug users.

    “The suspects, aged 28 to 44 years old have been remanded for investigation under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952,” he said in a press conference at the Iskandar Puteri police headquarters on Monday (July 31).

    Comm Kamarul Zaman said two of the suspects tested positive for ketamine and two possessed previous criminal and drug records.

    A drug processing laboratory in Iskandar Puteri, Johor Baru, was uncovered by the police, with drugs, equipment, and vehicles worth RM2.45 million being seized. The suspects, aged between 28 and 44 years old, have been detained for investigation under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, as announced by Comm Kamarul Zaman during a press conference held at the Iskandar Puteri police headquarters on July 31.

    Comm Kamarul Zaman revealed that two of the suspects tested positive for ketamine, and two had prior criminal and drug-related records. The authorities are likely to conduct further investigations to uncover additional information about the drug processing laboratory and potentially identify any other individuals involved. The dismantling of this laboratory serves as a significant blow to drug trafficking activities in the area and contributes to efforts in curbing the spread of drugs within society.
