In Sungai Buloh, Local Government Development Minister Nga Kor Ming has announced that 56 out of 700 applications for non-Islamic houses of worship (RIBI) financial assistance, worth RM7.45 million, have been approved. This aid is part of the RM50 million allocated by the unity government to support RIBI organizations nationwide for the maintenance and repair of their premises.

The remaining applications are currently undergoing a screening process conducted by the ministry’s task force. Nga hopes that this allocation will enable RIBI organizations to repair their premises in a more efficient manner.

Seven houses of worship in Selangor have already received financial aid. They include the Sri Ramar Alayam Temple in Selayang Bharu (RM102,200), the Sri Muneeswarar Alayam Temple in Batu Caves (RM187,300), the Sri Subramaniar Swamy Temple in Kuala Selangor (RM51,685.28), the Thirumurugan Temple in Sabak Bernam (RM79,000), the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple in Desa Aman, Sungai Buloh (RM57,700), the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple in Taman Ladang Jaya, Glenmarie (RM142,300), and the Geeta Ashram Malaysia in Petaling Jaya (RM110,000). – Bernama
