The price of RON97 petrol in Malaysia will increase by 10 sen to RM3.47 per litre, while the prices of RON95 petrol and diesel will remain unchanged from September 21 to 27, according to a statement from the Finance Ministry on September 20. The Finance Ministry stated that the prices of RON95 petrol and diesel will remain at RM2.05 per litre and RM2.15 per litre, respectively. These prices are determined using the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM) formula.

The government has decided to maintain the ceiling price of RON95 petrol at RM2.05 per litre and diesel at RM2.15 per litre in order to protect consumers from the increasing global oil prices. Despite the fact that the market price for both products has exceeded the current ceiling price, the government is committed to keeping the prices stable.

The Finance Ministry assured that they will closely monitor the global crude oil price trend and take appropriate measures to ensure the welfare and well-being of the people. The government remains committed to ensuring that the prices of RON95 petrol and diesel remain affordable for the public.

The global oil price has been on the rise, which has led to an increase in the retail price of RON97 petrol in Malaysia. However, the government is taking steps to minimize the impact of rising oil prices on consumers.

The decision to maintain the prices of RON95 petrol and diesel unchanged is part of the government’s effort to stabilize fuel prices and protect consumers from fluctuations in the global oil market. The government recognizes the importance of affordable fuel prices for the overall well-being of the people.

The government’s decision to maintain the ceiling price of RON95 petrol and diesel is aimed at protecting consumers from the impact of rising global oil prices. The Finance Ministry will continue to monitor the global oil price trend and take appropriate measures to prioritize the welfare of the people.
