Roxy Ixzy captivated the audience with her soulful rendition of Alicia Keys’ song “A Woman’s Worth” during the final concert night of Bintang RTM 2024 at Seri Angkasa Auditorium in Angkasapuri, Kuala Lumpur on Saturday (Feb 24) night. Her performance earned her the title of champion.
As the winner, Roxy Ixzy took home a cash prize of RM78,000 and a Proton Iriz. The runner-up, Dhania, received RM35,000, while Hady Huv, who came in third place, won RM20,000.
The fourth to sixth placed winners were awarded RM5,000 each. Additionally, Jon, who was crowned the Most Popular Star with 75,000 likes, received RM10,000. These prizes were sponsored by NesQ Resources Sdn Bhd, DRB Hicom, Royal Chulan Hotels & Resorts, and D&D Beauty House.
Bintang RTM 2024 was hosted by Awal Ashaari and Sissy Iman, and featured talented singers like Roxy Ixzy, Eylia Guntabid, Dhania, Hady Huv, Feka, and Joy competing for the coveted title in front of judges Datuk Syafinaz Selamat, LY, Ernie Zakri, and Aina Abdul.
This talent search contest made a comeback this year after a five-year break. It was founded in 1973 and showcased 14 exceptional vocal performers in Malaysia aged between 15 and 25 years old. – Bernama
