    Sabah signs MOU with Huawei Malaysia to boost digital infrastructure and smart city planning

    During his trade visit to China, Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between Sabah and Huawei Technologies Malaysia Sdn Bhd at the Huawei headquarters on Tuesday (Nov 7).

    He expressed his satisfaction with the agreement, stating that Huawei Technologies will provide consultancy and advisory services in several areas, including agriculture, smart manufacturing, tourism, smart city planning, e-commerce, digital infrastructure, inclusive connectivity, and digital government.

    Huawei Malaysia’s CEO, Simon Sun, stated that the MOU will enable collaborative efforts to implement digital services for the government, businesses, and the community.

    The MOU was signed by Sabah Public Service director, Datuk Zainuddin Aman, and Sun.

    The signing ceremony was attended by Huawei’s board director and president of Huawei Digital Power, Hou Jinlong, as well as Huawei’s president for Global Public Sector, Xia Zun.
