Salahuddin’s well-wishers and allies gather at hospital in a show of solidarity.

ALOR SETAR: A prayer gathering was held outside Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Alor Setar for Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub, as his family and friends gathered to pray for his recovery. Supporters and friends congregated in the hospital’s intensive care unit (ICU) foyer on Sunday (July 23) to await updates on the health of the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister, whose condition was speculated to have worsened.

An Amanah member expressed uncertainty regarding Salahuddin’s well-being, stating that they had been awaiting updates from the doctors. Salahuddin was admitted to the hospital after experiencing nausea and vomiting late Friday night.

According to Kedah Amanah chairman Datuk Mahfuz Omar, Salahuddin underwent a successful four-hour surgery to address a brain haemorrhage on Saturday (July 22).
