The Sarawak Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi will be hosting a Hari Raya open house at the Astana in Kuching. The event will take place on the first day of the celebration and will be a chance for them to receive ministers, MPs, state assemblymen, other dignitaries, department heads, and the public from 9am to 4.30pm.
A statement released by the Astana on Monday (April 8) conveyed the couple’s warm wishes of Selamat Hari Raya and maaf zahir batin to all Muslims in Sarawak. The open house is a traditional way for the Head of State and his wife to convey their well-wishes to the community during this festive time.
Those interested in attending the open house are advised to dress appropriately for the occasion. It is an opportunity for the public to join in the celebrations and meet with key figures in the state. The first day of Hari Raya is anticipated to be on Wednesday (April 10).
